This is an opportunity to assist a Communities First team, and indeed the local community, by providing a comprehensive administrative and clerical service. You will need to be able to process and monitor financial information, and provide a frontline reception service in a busy working environment.

Along with computer literacy in the use of Windows based software and databases candidates must possess 4 GCSE’s (Grade A-C), or equivalent, which must include English Language or Welsh and Mathematics.

Car Sharing

Ystalyfera Communities First is interested in hearing from you on the subject of Car Sharing. As we all know, public transport for our community can be a little unreliable and developing a Car sharing scheme may provide some useful solutions for people. Not forgetting with Global warming becoming a real issue, car sharing can help cut down on the amount of air pollution and also help reduce your personal fuel costs by sharing the cost. Whether its a trip to go shopping or getting into Swansea and back for work.

Car Sharing schemes have been shown to work well in other areas and there is no reason why we can't get a similar scheme operating here so why not get involved.

Art Exhibition Fri 14th Dec

Following on from an art competition organised by Wallace and Pamella Fisher, there will be a display of the winning pictures at Ystalyfera Development Trust on the Evening of Friday 14th December from 6pm.

Prizes will be awarded by Alun Llewellyn.

Buffet is also available.
